PROCESS FOR THIRD ROUND OF FUNDING IN STATEWIDE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMPETITION NOT YET KNOWN, LOCAL COUNCIL CO-CHAIR SAYS--Tony Collins, co-chair of the North Country Regional Economic Development Council, told reporters yesterday as the Council met at its SUNY Potsdam home campus it is possible Empire State Development may set as a parameter how the local councils across the state collaborate with other regionals in meeting economic development goals. The North Country Council has won over two years about 193-million-dollars in funding for projects--the first year for "Best Plan" and the second year for the best implementation of that plan.
