DOHENY: THREE WAYS TO BRING DOWN GAS PRICES—Matt Doheny, the Republican-Independence-Conservative Party candidate in New York Congressional District 21, told the Massena Luncheon Club Monday lowering gas prices can be done by tapping into abundant natural resources, forming partnerships such as the one proposed with Alberta for the Keystone Pipeline; and, because about half the oil in the US comes from overseas, to have a stronger dollar. Doheny issued his three-point proposal on gas in response to a comment from Luncheon Club member Jim Feeley, who said there's no excuse for $4.15 per gallon, that it's a “disgusting problem” driven by “disdain for the internal combustion engine.”
NO BAIL FOR MASSENA MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG-RELATED GUN CRIME—State Police say 34-year-old Jason Wodward allegedly went to a residence off Adams Road in Norfolk last month, and threatened the resident with a shotgun, accusing the homeowner of robbing him. Woodward was charged on Sunday with felony weapon possession, arraigned and committed until a future court date.
