    POTSDAM VILLAGE COLLECTION EFFORTS AGAINST CANADIAN HYDRO CONTRACTOR PROGRESSING—Village Administrator David Fenton told Trustees Monday contact has been made with a Canadian law firm, as the Village moves forward with the collection of about 6.8-million-dollars from Canadian Turbine. The Village won breach-of-contract litigation last month against the company for the lateness of parts going into the three-years-overdue West Dam Hydroelectric Project.

    MASSENA WOMAN CHARGED WITH 13 FELONIES ALLEGING CANTON PURSE, CREDIT CARD THEFT—Canton Police picked up 25-year-old Angela Hughes on 13 counts of Grand Larceny, and a misdemeanor Petit Larceny charge alleging she took a purse containing credit cards and cash from a Canton residence earlier this year. The purse and the credit cards were recovered, but not the money. Hughes was arraigned and released to probation until future court dates.

    MASSENA MAN WANTED AS A NEW JERSEY FUGITIVE PICKED UP MONDAY—Massena Village Police say they stopped a vehicle containing 25-year-old Nathan Justin of Barnhart Road Monday. Justin was fou8nd to be the subject of a New Jersey warrant charging him with felony counts of Robbery, Burglary, and Kidnapping. Further details were not available. Justin was held pending extradition proceedings.
