SLU STUDENT HAS RUN-IN WITH POLICE, SECURITY—Canton Village Police say 20-year-old David Pegado of North Tonawanda, NY had to be taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital in handcuffs early this morning, after he allegedly refused to comply with a directive to be transported to the hospital by Canton Rescue. Pegado was found to be in an allegedly-high state of alcohol intoxication outside near Sykes Residence. Pegado allegedly pushed an SLU Security staff member and a Police officer. Pegado was transported in the police car, not the ambulance. He was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation with less weight than a misdemeanor and released on a ticket for Village Court.
