    MASSENA MAN THROWS WEIGHTLIFTING BAR AT CHILD, ARRESTED—Village Police say 46-year-old Patrick Foster allegedly flung a 42-pound bar during an incident on Bishop Avenue late Friday night. Foster was charged with attempted assault and child endangerment, then placed in the police hold until arraignment later today.

    CONDITION OF MOTORCYCLIST STRUCK BY TRACTOR-TRAILER NOW “CRITICAL”--that was the report this morning from Fletcher-Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT on 50-year-old Ronald Swinyer, who received life-threatening injuries on Route 72 in Potsdam Thursday afternoon. Swinyer was airlifted to Burlington from Canton-Potsdam Hospital following the accident. Charges have not been filed pending the outcome of the investigation by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.

    NORWOOD MAN WITH FOUR LICENSE SUSPENSIONS ARRESTED AFTER FRIDAY ACCIDENT, FREED ON BAIL—29-year-old Bradley Waite of Old Market Road was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Failure to Yield following a crash on Route 345 where his vehicle collided with an oncoming auto as Waite was turning into a driveway at the crest of a hill. The driver of the other vehicle, 64-year-old Ann Gerhard of Waddington received bruises and was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue.
