AQUATIC SNOWMOBILE RACES ON NORWOOD LAKE WILL BE BEFORE LABOR DAY THIS YEAR—Village Mayor and Norwood Lake Regatta Chairman Jim Mc.Faddin says the sport of watercross is growing, thanks to publicity on television, publications and the internet. This year's races will be August 25th and 26th. Participants race around an oval set up on the impoundment. The Regatta switched from speedboats to snowmobiles; Mc.Faddin says that turned out to be a wise move because of the sport's rising status. Norwood is one of the most popular spots on the Northeast racing circuit for both racers and fans.
