NUMBER ONE THOUGHT ON THE MINDS OF RETURNING POTSDAM HIGH ALUMNI....SERGI'S—Phil Demarest, a 1970 Potsdam High graduate and one of the main organizers for this weekend's “Mega Reunion,” told 99 News in an interview yesterday from his discussions with his fellow alums as they were arriving in town, that the one thing they really want to do when they're here is to eat Sergi's food again. The beloved Italian eatery on Market Street is currently being rebuilt because of damage from last month's torrential thunderstorm; it will soon re-open in a temporary space a block-and-a-half away. The building where Sergi's will soon be operating from, for longtime Potsdam residents held the legendary Town House Restaurant for decades, and was more recently Julian's and an Indian restaurant. A worker was seen painting the door of the temporary location late Friday afternoon.
