INTERESTING BEERS TO BE TASTED IN POTSDAM—Larry Reece, a co-sponsor for the Racquette River Craft Beer and Wine Fest having its second day today from 3-9pm during day three of Potsdam Summerfest, says two of the beers to be sampled in Fall Island Park are made from ingredient formulas going back to ancient times—one from Egypt, and another from what is believed to have been King Midas's tomb. The ingredients for the brews were determined from pottery samples obtained in archeological digs.

THE POTSDAM SUMMER FESTIVAL PARADE STARTS AT 5:30 THIS AFTERNOON, BEGINNING IN CLARKSON UNIVERSITY OLD SNELL PARKING LOT, DOWN ELM STREET, ON MARKET STREET PAST THE REVIEWING STAND, THEN TO MAIN STREET AND THE MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT. “RUN TO THE RIVER” BY THE POTSDAM FIRE DEPARTMENT STARTS AT 7PM.
