    ELDERLY DRIVER CAUSES POTSDAM HOUSE CRASH—Village Police say an 89-year-old female, whose name was not released drove through the intersection of Market and Cherry Streets about 1:20 Tuesday afternoon, passing through two tractor-trailers and striking a house off the intersection. Injuries were not serious; the driver was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital as a precaution. No tickets were issued. The collision caused a natural gas leak that was repaired.

    MASSENA CHILD ASSAULT SUSPECT ANSWERS WARRANT, JAILED—Massena Police say 28-year-old Daniel Frederick of Watertown, formerly of Massena, turned himself in Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with felony, second degree assault and two misdemeanors alleging his role in an incident in March where a one-year-old received burns and cuts. No further details were released. Frederick was arraigned and committed on 2500 dollars cash bail or the same amount as bail bond.
