    MORE WEST DAM HYDRO PARTS EXPECTED THIS WEEK—Potsdam Village Administrator David Fenton told Trustees Monday a set of cones is expected to be trucked in from Canada on Thursday or Friday. The project is about 3 years overdue, because of delays in contractor Canadian Turbine getting parts because of its financial woes. Fenton was asked when the hydro plant would be done, all he could say is he is confident sometime this year before the next snow season

    RECORD HIGHS EXPECTED THIRD DAY IN A ROW TODAY—Rick O'Hanlon of Potsdam, a certified military storm spotter, recorded a high of 77 on Sisson Street Monday, breaking the 1986 record for the date--60--that was tied in 2010. Sunday saw a record high of 77. Today's record for Potsdam is 60, also set in 1986. The Vernal Equinox, the official start of Spring was during the 1:00 hour this morning.
