POTSDAM VILLAGE OFFICIALS SAY TRASH STICKER FRAUD WILL BE PROSECUTED—Village Administrator David Fenton told Trustees last night there has been a rash of incidents where people have taken the orange part of trash sticker sheets, cut them into the shape of a legitimate trash sticker, and put them on bags to fool workers into believing they paid. Village residents must buy stickers to defray the cost of pickup. Fenton calls the fraud “pure and simple theft of services.” He says there will be measures taken in the near future to stop the fraud, such as implementing orange trash bags, etc.
