99 NEWS HEADLINES FOR WEDNESDAY, 12/3/08 INCOMING SLU PRESIDENT SAYS RELATIONSHIP WITH COMMUNITY 'LONG-STANDING,''UNBREAKABLE'--Dr. William Fox, set to assume the position of President at St. Lawrence University in July of 2009 had his first meeting with the local press Tuesday. Fox says the relationship between the University and Canton cannot be a 'tale of two cities'. INDICTMENT FILED IN BOMBAY MURDER CASE--A Franklin County Grand Jury handed up a second degree murder indictment Monday against 38-year-old Richard Oakes of Snye, Quebec; accused of participating with his live-in girlfriend in the killing of 44-year-old Thomas Hathaway, Jr. at his home on Helena Road earlier this year. The girlfriend, 24-year-old Rhonda Dufoe, is expected to be indicted when the Grand Jury next convenes. Hathaway was found shot twice in the head, in the rubble of the home allegedly set ablaze to cover the crime. CEMENT ISSUE WITH WEST DAM HYDRO PROJECT--Potsdam Village Administrator Michael Weil told Trustees Monday three loads of concrete poured into the structure recently were not of sufficient strength; engineers are looking into the error.
