AUBERTINE SEEKS LEADERSHIP POSITIONS IN SENATE--Darrel Aubertine, on the heels of winning a seat in the new State Senate majority, told 99 News Wednesday he has expressed interest in the Chairmanships of either the Senate Agriculture Committee or Energy Committee. He says he is less interested, but not uninterested in a higher level of leadership, such as Majority Whip.

500 DOLLAR REWARD FOR INFORMATION IN POTSDAM CHURCH VANDALISM--Crimestoppers has offerred a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons involved in the St. Mary's Church arson October 29th. Anyone with information is asked to call 265-2121.

POTSDAM SCHOOL BOARD CONSIDERS POLICIES TO CONTROL STUDENT SPEECH--The Board is considering policies that would codify standards for both written publications and seech generated outside the school entering the campus. Board President Ann Carvill says there is plenty of US Supreme Court case law to support standards for factual accuracy and potential inflammatory behavior. She says that includes items generated on a student's home computer and accessible through the internet on school grounds.
