Madrid-Waddington Comes Back Down 11 To Beat Moriah |

The amazing post season run continues for the Yellow Jackets with a stirring comeback against the Vikings at SUNY Potsdam.
Down 11 points early in the third quarter, Madrid-Waddington takes the lead for good with under a minute to play on a steal and transition lay up by PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Greg Thompson.
Moriah opened up a 22-14 lead in the second quarter thanks to a 9-0 run, holding the Jackets to only one field goal in the second. The Vikings came out to a 5-0 start in the third and went up by 11 before Madrid-Waddington started a rally.
The Jackets closed to within 33-30 at the end of the third quarter. Jacob Barney launched the tying bucket to start the fourth beginning a back and forth contest the next several minutes.
Moriah's Derek Brassard hit two straight three pointers that tied the game at 43-43 and then gave the Vikings a 46-45 lead late.
Up by one with under a minute to go, Moriah coughed the ball up allowing Greg Thompson to score a transition lay up to earn the Jackets the lead back at 47-46.
Needing a field goal to regain the lead, Moriah missed and was forced to foul sending EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME Maurice Rease to the line as he hit both free thorws with 10.9 seconds ot go to seal the win.
Colin O'Bryan led Madrid-Waddington with 14 points. Rease and Richard Wright added ten.
For Moriah, Derek Brassard tallied 16 points. Adam Jaquish scored 12.

Hammond's Alyssa Crosby scored 11 quarter points helping the Red Devils to a 28-12 halftime lead. PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Emily Bush picked up hard rebounds and accumulated five points from the foul line, totaling nine in the game.
Courtney Bova popped in two threes in the third quarter to lead Hammond to a 20 point cushion after three quarters.
Crosby led Hammond with 16 points, Gabby Marshall scored 12 points, all on three pointers and Courtney Bova added ten.
For Elizabeth-Lewis, Lily Whalen tallied 1 points shooting three 3-pointers, and going 4 for 4 from the foul line..
