EMPIRE STATE GAMES PUSHED BACK TO 2014 PRESS RELEASE FROM EMPIRESTATESUMMERGAMES.ORG
While preparing for the relaunch of the ESG Summer Games, we found out that NY's corporate partners have been giving any extra funds to Hurricane Sandy relief, leaving little room to support other worthy causes. We at the Foundation believe that this is a responsible decision of the corporate partners, and in supporting that decision we have decided to postpone the relaunch of the Summer Games until 2014. Rochester remains fully prepared to host the Games in 2014. We will take full advantage of the next 18 months to ensure that the Games are world class.
