EXPECT A BRIEF LULL IN SNOWFALL TODAY—The National Weather Service has a Winter Storm Warning in effect through mid-day Saturday. There will be a gap in storm activity around mid-day today, the space between the departure of a mid-western system and the arrival of a Nor'easter that's pounding the southern part of this state and New England. We should get about half the snow they're getting, but drive carefully nonetheless.
