SCHOOLS A KEY A PART OF THE ECONOMY, CHAMBER HEAD SAYS—Pat Mc. Keown, Executive Director of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, told 99 News in an interview Thursday about the Chamber board resolution calling for a more equitable state aid formula to even out poor, upstate districts with wealthier downstate districts; says the first thing people do when looking to move to St. Lawrence County is get on an internet search engine and look at schools. She says “...we have great schools, but we won't for much longer if the aid does not come.”
