OFA Girls Rebound To Take Cordwell Championship

The Blue Devils take control early in the second half and reclaim the Cordwell Tournament title over the Red Devils.

A past paced first half saw the defending champs take an eight point lead late in the first half only to see OFA scored the last four of the second quarter and to close the gap in half.

The Blue Devils stormed out 9-0 third quarter start and out scored Hammond 19-5 in the quarter.  Meg Dodge drained two three pointers and scored eight in the third quarter.  

Dodge led the Blue Devils with 17 points while PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Felicia Barr added a near double double of 10 points and eight rebounds.

Hammond got as close as six in the fourth late as Alyssa Crosby netted all six of her team's points in the fourth quarter and led all players with 21.  Mikayla Horton added 10 in the loss.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 50, GOUVERNEUR 21

The Yellow Jackets salvage a split with a convincing win over the Wildcats in the consolation of the Cordwell Tournament.  

Madrid-Waddington came around in the second quarter with a 14-5 run and only allowed eight second half points.

In the second half PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Tess Knight went six for six from the foul line and led the Jackets with 12 points.  EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME Katie Marcellus notched 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds.

Noelle Carbone and Rachael Knowlton each produced six points for Gouverneur
