OFA Rally Falls Short As Massena Holds For Win In Girls Hoops |

The Red Raiders hold off a late Blue Devil charge to edge out a win in the Central Division.
Both offenses got off to slow starts as the teams were tied at 15-15 at the halftime break. OFA's Riley Luckie would score nine in the first half.
Massena came out in the third scoring the first five and led by three at the end of the quarter. The offense was sparked by PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Alicia Jacobs who buried three straight three pointers. Marissa Manley scored seven third quarter points as Massena led 36-33. .
The Red Raiders built a nine point lead at 42-33 late in the fourth. The Blue Deivls mounted a rally as Megan Dodge stroked a three pointer with over a minute to play to close the gap to 42-39. At 44-42, OFA sent Jacobs to the line as she hit two free throws late to push the lead to four.
On the next OFA possession, Riley Luckie rattled in a three ball with 9.2 seconds left to get the Devils back to within one. After a Massena turnover, OFA was awarded the ball with 2.1 seconds left but going the full length of the court proved to be too much as Massena held on to the win.
Jacobs finished with 16 points and Manley 14 for Massena. For OFA, Luckie scored 12 while Megan Dodge and Susie Morrow added 10 with Dodge nailing three 3-pointers.
