MARKS NAMED ECACHL WOMEN'S HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

ECAC Hockey announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday morning, and St. Lawrence University first-year student Jenna Marks was tabbed the conference's Rookie of the Week for her play against Penn State last weekend. Marks had a career-best weekend, totaling five points in a pair of Saints wins over the Nittany Lions in non-league play. The Cottage Grove, WI native had a goal and an assist on Friday evening, then followed with three assists including the helper on the game-winner on Saturday. Marks, who now has nine points this season, was joined by Dartmouth's Camille Dumais and Quinnipiac's Victoria Vigilanti in the weekly honors. Dumais earned Player of the Week after a seven-point weekend including her fourth career hat trick, while Vigilanti was the Goaltender of the Week after posting a .950 save percentage and leading the Bobcats to a sweep of the Princeton Tigers.

PRO STOCKS BACK AT MOHAWK FOR THE 2013 SEASON
When Mohawk International Raceway made the difficult decision to drop the Pro Stock division from its weekly lineup for 2013 season, there was a lot of feedback from the racers in that division. A meeting was put together to try and help save the class, and after overwhelming support the track will now bring back the Pro Stocks for next season. The Pro Stock meeting was held at the track on Thursday, December 7th and drew support from many local teams trying to keep the division going. The support got the attention of the Mohawk International Raceway staff, which was the reason behind reversing their earlier decision. In addition to being part of the weekly schedule in 2013 the Pro Stocks will also have a date booked for the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series. Track officials are also working to keep their three race series that they have had the past couple seasons.
