The Thoroughbreds hit two free thorws with one second left to down the Bears at Jerry Welsh Gym.
Potsdam ran out to a 14-7 lead but Skidmore came back to tie the game at 16-16 and take a six point lead at halftime. Logan Frederick managed a double double in the first half with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bears held Skidmore scoreless for six and a half minutes to start the second half as they closed the gap to one. Hannah Kmiecinski's lay up with 11:34 to go gave the Bears the lead back. only to see the Thoroughbreds came back with a Veronica O'Neil lay up to go up 33-32.
Skidmore built up a 50-42 lead late in the half on Ella Scheuerell's bucket with 4:25 to go. Potsdam scored the next ten and took the lead on Bailey Weigel's offensive put back with 1:34 left. Weigel gave the Bears the lead again at 54-52 with 52 seconds to play but gave up that lead with 28 seconds left on Angela Botiba's lay up in the low post.
Unable to strike for the winnig bucket on the next possession, Potsdam yielded to Skidmore with the game tied and fouled Scheuerell with one second left. She hit both free thorws ending the game as a depsiration pass from the baseline fell short for the Bears.
Scheuerell led the Thoroughbreds with 16 points and Frederick 14 points and 14 rebounds. Potsdam's Jessica Kouzsan notched four threes and 14 points, Weigel added 13 points and 11 boards.

Against Berkeley College, he had 24 points and 12 rebounds and in the championship against Ithaca he added 14 points and 15 rebounds. He shot 72.0 percent (18-for-25) from the floor.
Sam Rakoc, St. Lawrence, Liberty League Cross Country Performer of the Week Sam Rakoc was the top Saint finisher in the NCAA Championships, 80th overall. He ran 25:33.7, improving his last year's finish by five spots.
Wesley Kirui, St. Lawrence, Liberty League Cross Country Rookie of the Week Wesley Kirui had his best race as a Saint at the NCAA Championships, finishing as the second SLU runner in 26:16.4 to finish 185th overall among 280 runners.
Caroline Raue, St. Lawrence, Liberty League Cross Country Performer of the Week Caroline Raue had her best run of the season, finishing as the second Saint runner at the NCAA Championships with a 69th place finish in 22:32.3 to help the Saints to 7th as a team.
Ella Martin, St. Lawrence, Liberty League Cross Country Rookie of the Week Ella Martin had the top Saint rookie finish in program history and just missed All America status with a 38th place finish at the NCAA Championships, leading the Saints to 7th as a team. She ran 22:05.1 in the championship race.
