Brockport Slams Door On Potsdam Comeback Winning in Overtime |

Despite giving up a third period two goal lead, the Golden Eagles win in overtime downing the Bears in SUNYAC action.
Shane Cavalieri scored with 59.1 seconds to go in overtime after Potsdam came back down 2-0 and 3-1 in the game. Mike Hayward on the power play in the first period gave Brockport a 1-0 lead with a shot from the blue line at 6:44.
The Golden Eagles carried that lead into the second and added on with a Steve Sachman goal from the right wing at 13:50. Potsdam was badly out shot in the second perod 24-4, but did score on MIke Arnold's ninth of the year converting on a two on one break to end the second period scoring.
Sachman scored his second goal halfway through the third which seemed to put the game out of reach. However Mike Arnold converted from the slot and Adam Place buried a one timer just two minutes later to send the game into overtime.
In Overtime, the Bears were unable to clear the zone as the puck found Cavalieri open in front of the goal.
Brockport out shot Potsdam 56-25 in the game. Austin Kieser made 52 saves while Aaron Green stopped 22 for the Eagles.
