CRYMERMAN AND HOWARD EARN HONORS HEADING INTO NCAA MEET
The St. Lawrence women’s cross country team picked up two honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday, as they prepare for the NCAA Championship this weekend. Head Coach Mike Howard was named the Atlantic Regional Women’s Coach of the Year while junior runner Amy Cymerman earned the Atlantic Region Athlete of the Year award.

Howard, who is also the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field at St. Lawrence, has now led the women’s cross country team to four straight Atlantic Region titles with the team’s win this year. This is his seventh regional coach of the year honor from the USTFCCCA.

Cymerman is the top runner for the Saints heading in to the NCAA Championship race this weekend. Her regional athlete of the year award comes on the heels of both her Atlantic Region and Liberty League Championship individual victories. She also posted a second-place finish in the NYSCTC race earlier this season.  As a team, the Saints swept all three races.

The women’s cross country NCAA Champion race will take place in Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, November 17 at 12 p.m.
