A strong second half helps the top seeded Bulldogs to a championship game clinching win over the Golden Knights.
Chateaugay dominated in shots and possession in the first half but met their match with Lisbon goalie Jackie Sovie. She stopped nine first half shots including a penalty shot late in the first half.
It didn't take long for the Bulldogs to strike in the second half as PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Courtney Boyea one timed a Hannah Cook cross in the 43rd minute for the game winner and then scored long range from the left wing just two minutes later.
Alexis Beach scored her first of two just minutes after Boyea's second and tallied again with over seven minutes to play.
Mikayla Fleury was called upon to stop three in the shut out and Sovie 13 for the Golden Knights.

PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Kodi Perkins scored from 20 yards out with 1:54 to go in the third overtime to help Parishville-Hopkinton to the sectional final>
Hanna Thornhill would earn Heuvelton the lead in the 59th minute after Alexis Weidner's shot was saved by the Panther goalie and came back to a trailing Thornhill off the rebound. Within the same minute, Kodi Perkins turned and lofted a shot into the top corner of the net to tie the game.
EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME Taylor Scovil made several good decisions on defense as Marlee Wilson was called upon to stop 17 shots in the win. For the Bulldogs, Morgan Keenan stopped 11.
The Panthers for the second year in a row will face Chateaugay for the Section X Class D Girls Soccer Championship Thursday.

SLU MEN'S SOCCER TRAVEL TO WILLIAMS FOR NCAA FIRST ROUND The St. Lawrence University men's soccer team was given an at-large bid into the 2012 NCAA Tournament and will take on the Warriors of Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday, November 10 in the first round in Williamstown, MA.
The Saints, who fell in penalty kicks to Rensselaer in the Liberty League Semifinals, have posted a 13-2-3 record this season, which aided in their selection as one of 21 teams to be granted an at-large bid. Williams College will serve as the host site for the opening round game, as the Ephs (13-1-3) take on Thomas College of Maine (15-2-2)
CLARKSON VOLLEYBALL RETURN NCAA TOURNEY, WILL HOST NEW YORK REGIONAL The Clarkson Golden Knights were awarded the third seed in the regional, which starts on November 9th. The tournament bracket of New York begins on Friday with fi fth-seeded Skidmore College taking on the fourth seed SUNY New Paltz. At 3:00 pm, top-seeded SUNY Cortland will face eight-seeded Colby Sawyer College, followed by the 5:30 pm match which has second-seeded Middlebury College facing the seventh seed Southern Vermont College. The first day ends with host and third-seeded Clarkson University playing against the sixth-seed Nazareth College. Semifinal matches will take place on Saturday, November 10th at 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm. The championship round will begin at 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 11th.
POTSDAM VOLLEYBALL EARNS ECAC UPSTATE BID The SUNY Potsdam volleyball team has been selected as the fifth seed in the 2012 ECAC Upstate/Metro Championship. The Bears will travel to Union, N.J. to face fourth-seeded Kean University (27-10) on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
The Bears are 23-16 this season, reaching the SUNYAC and ECAC Championship tournaments for the first time since 2008. Potsdam will be led by two-time first team All-SUNYAC setter Jenna Blujus and second team all-conference outside hitter Rachel Auerbach. Blujus, a junior, finished first on the team in assists (1,104), digs (463), and service aces (84). Her 84 aces were also tops in the SUNYAC. Auerbach, a freshman, led the team with 322 kills and finished second in both service aces (43) and assists (75). She tallied 202 digs and 36 blocks to add to her all around strong season.
The tournament's semifinals and championship will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 on the campus of the highest remaining seed. Potsdam last met Kean on Oct. 1, 2011, downing the Cougars 3-1 in New Jersey.
Aishvina Arasu, Clarkson, Liberty League Rookie of the Week Aishvina Arasu was picked to the Liberty League Championships All-Tournament team with 36 kills in two matches (4.00 per set) to go along with a .257 hitting percentage. She also added eight digs (0.89 per set) and seven blocks (0.78 per set).
