Potsdam Hockey Wins Season Opener In Overtime |

The Bears start the seaosn off right with an overtime thriller at the Massena Arena.
Zack Blake scored on the power at 2:42 of overtime to lift the Bears to victory.
Potsdam was down two giving up a power play and a short handed by the four minute mark of the second period. Just 40 seconds later after the Purple Knights mad eit 2-0, Billy Pascalli scored on a breakaway to cut the lead ot one. St. Mike's Ryan Arsenault stole the puck from the opposite blueline and scored on a break away of his own to help the Purple Knights to another tow goal lead. Bears freshman Todd Thomas buried a slot shot seconds later to close the gap to 3-2.
After Mike Arnold tied the game in third period with over seven minutes ot play, Potsdam continued to gain momentum into ovettime. They out shot St. Mike's 7-0 in the extra frame, with most shots coming on the power play lake scored on.
Austin Keiser made 29 saves in the win for Potsdam while Erik McGuirk halted 40.
