99 NEWS FOR 10/6/12 ASSEMBLYWOMAN RUSSELL SAYS “IT APPEARS PIECES ARE FALLING INTO PLACE” TO RE-OPEN EJ NOBLE—The 118th Assembly District representative told 99 News Friday afternoon she has been involved in discussions with the State Health Department about the effort by the Gouverneur hospital to get another hospital to oversee its lab, so it can re-open. Lab issues forced its shutdown last week. EJ Noble Administrator Charles Conole has submitted two proposals for lab oversight....one from Samaritan in Watertown that unionized nurses have been rallying in support of, and another from Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Russell says talks are progressing, but she is wary to “put the cart before the horse”.
