PEDESTRIAN AND CROSSWALK SAFETY CONCERNS ADDRESSED AS STUDENTS RETURN—Potsdam Village Trustee Eleanor Hopke and Police Chief Kevin Bates told the rest of the board last week enforcement would be stepped up, as thousands of students are now in town for the semester. Bates said safety issues were part of the program police put on for the training Clarkson University Resident Assistants receive.
