SUNY Potsdam Inducts Three Into Hall Of Fame |
THREE INDUCTED INTO SUNY POTSDAM HALL OF FAME
Three former SUNY Potsdam student-athletes were inducted into the Bears Hall of Fame. Kelly O'Donnell-Warren '93 (Swimming), Howie Vandermast '88 (Hockey) and Nate Sunday '98 (Hockey) were inducted during a ceremony on campus on Saturday. 99 Sports will have stories including audio from the Hall of Fame ceremony all week on the 99 Sports Report beginning on Monday.
Plus bonus coverage of the official annoucement of the 10 million dollar project to renovate the Maxcy Hall Ice Arena. The renovations will force the SUNY Potsdam Men's hockey team to play all there home games in 2012-2013 at the Massena Arena while the Women's Hockey team will play all home games at Clarkson's Cheel Arena. The project will include stadium seating, a new cooling system, and state of the art press box. This the first renovation to the arena since it first opened in 1973. . .
The Northern New York Men’s and Women’s Senior Golf Championship will be held at he Massena Country Club. The tournament will be divided into six flights.
The day will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and will conclude with a dinner and awards ceremony at approximately 5:30 p.m. The entry fee includes the cart fee and is $47 for Massena Country Club members and $65 for non-members. For anyone who would like to walk, the entry fee is $35 for members and $50 for non-members. The entry fee covers the entire day’s activities.

On Wednesday the St. Lawrence Valley Paddlers Duathlon will begin in Canton, 6:00PM from the Park Street Boat Launch. It is free for both canoe and kayaks. Registration is at 5:30 pm with race to start at 6 pm. For more information contact Gene Newman at
