The Blue Devils end the four year reign of the Sandstoners with a solid effort at SUNY Canton.
The game winning run was scored with two outs in the second on a double steal attempook an 0-2 pitch to left field clearing the bases t as PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Brenton LaRose touched home plate as a pickle play kept the Potsdam defense's attention until the final out was recorded.
A six run third inning busted the game open as Andrew Cole led off woth a double and scored on a Brendan Arsenault single. With bases loaded and one out, Cavan LaRose went to left field clearing the bases earning the Devils a 6-0 lead.
That was more than enough for Brenton LaRose who tossed a four hitter as the game concluded on a 5-4-3 double play. Pat Cosmo and Andrew LeBeau singled twice.
For Potsdam, Ben Miller singled twice and took the loss on the mound striking out five.
