A late inning rally lifts the Flyers to an opening doubleheader win versus the Sandstoners.
A pitchers deul developed for five innings between Alex Ploof and Brandon Noble. Potsdam struck first in the fifth inning when Marc Maroney with one out and came around to score in Ben Miller's single two batters later.
In the bottom of the inning, Chris Prashaw singled with one out and PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Troy Kovach doubled. Prashaw scored on a Jordan Lashomb sacrifice fly to left field and Kovach scored on an infield error to push the Flyers in the lead 2-1.
Alex Ploof went the distance scattering five hits striking out four. Potsdam left the tying run on first in the sixth. Brandon Noble went five strong for Potsdam allowing to runs on four hits.
