A strong and quick start helps the Sandstoners to a home win over the Golden Bears.
After yeilding the first goal to Canton a little over a minute and a half in, Potsdam would score five straight in the first half as Keeley Rice scored once and produced two assists on PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Kalie Grant's two goals.
Canton closed the gap to four late on a free possession goal by Alicia Jones helping the Bears get within four at the break at 8-4.
Defense dominated the second half but not before Potsdam sealed the win early in the second half going up by six when grant completed the hat trick and Rice notched her fifth of the game.
Annette Rishe added a goal and assist. Jenny Tardelli scored and Ally Miller supplied two assists.
For the Golden Bears, Alciia Jones scored three times and Tess Knight added two goals.
