A seventh inning extra base hit earns the Wildcats a road win over the Flyers.
PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Jordan Lay belted a bases loaded double to center scoring three runs that broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh for Gouverneur second win of the season.
The Wildcats took advantage of four walks to start the game scoring two on a bases loaded walk to Nictoria Bates and a ground out RBI by Lay.
The Flyers answered in the bottom of the first with a Courtney Harvey ground out RBI. Gouverneur regained their two run lead back when Jaelyn Gotham singled in a run but was pegged out at second trying to stretch a single into a double.
Norwood-Norfolk chipped away tying in the game in fifth. Jessica Harvey single in a run in the third and Courtney Harvey stroke a single scoring Courtney Wagstaff to going the game even.
In the seventh, Courtney Aldridge was hit by the pitch, Gotham advance on a fielder's choice, and Bates reached on an infield single leading to a bases loaded no one out situation for Jordan Lay who delivered with a bases clearing double.
Lay drove in four runs while Whitney Bush and Aldridge scored twice. Gotham picked up the win scattering seven hits striking out three walking no one.
