The Panthers start the week with a home win in their first home game of the season.
Parishville-Hopkinton took advantage of multiple Edwards-Knox errors to score four in the first inning, an inning capped off by a Franklin Paulino RBI single.
Two more wre tacked on in the fourth when PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Zack Newton stroked a double scoring scoring Tyler Gallagher and the came around to score on a fielder's choice.
The Cougars best inning came in the fifth when Derrick Clark singled home TK Yamada and Kaden Dandrow tripled to right field scoring two more to cut the Panther lead top 6-3.
Two more needed insurance runs that scored on a Phil Huckins double in the bottom off the fifth gave the Panther pitching staff breathing room as Tyler Gallagher came on in relief to struck out five in the final two innings ending the game picking off a runner at third.
Newton went five innings in the win striking out seven, allowing only four hits walking two.
For the Cougars, Kaden Dandrow singled twice and tripled. Chris Davison allowed six runs on seven hits, striking out five
