BLANKENBUSH CALLS CRITICISM OF HIS VOTE AGAINST THE FAIR PAY ACT “BALONEY”--122nd Assembly District representative Ken Blankenbush told a roundtable gathering in Gouverneur Thursday he believes the Democratic majority legislation that passed with a wide margin last month will not do what supporters say it will—make pay more equitable for women and others for the same work. Blankenbush says he and the rest of the Republican minority feels the mechanism the legislation sets up to supposedly level the playing field does nothing but harm businesses, defeating the purpose. Blankenbush says he believes the criticism by AAUW representative Donna Seymour of Potsdam published in the local print and online media, including northcountrynow.com, labels him as anti-women in an election year.
