MUSKIES ARE THE "LIONS" OF SPORT FISHING--Don Meisner from WPBS-TV "Rod and Reel--Streamside" and spokesman for the St.Lawrence County "FISHCAP" program, says Muskellunge are omnivorous, meaning they eat just about anything; predatory and agressive--which is why they are so attractive to soldiers from Fort Drum who will participate later this year in a "Hometown Hero" muskie fishing event on the St.Regis River in Brasher. Meisner says the clean, fresh water of the St.Regis is a perfect habitat for the muskie, making them lively and even better sport than carp.
