Canton Softball Manages League Shut Out Win Over St. Lawrence Central |

In a battle of Northern Division unbeatens, the Golden Bears take care of business early and remain with out a loss on the season.
Canton managed two runs in the first innings on passed balls as Katie Christy and PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Emma Rexford scored from third. Two more were plated in the third as Sara Elliot reached and scored on a Rexford infield single. Rexofrd then came around to score on another passed ball to help her own casue in the circle.
Rexford carried a no hitter into the sixth. Then with one out Jane Judware went to left field for an extra base hit. However Judware was caught on a strong throw form left center trying to stretch a double into a triple for the second out of the inning.
The Golden Bears tacked on insurance with four in the sixth as Laura Smith drove in two runs with a one out single to right center.
Rexford struck out seven in a two hitter, Kaeli Mace and Kara Losey added singles.
For the Larries, Linsday Thayer struck out 13 in the loss and Noel Rufa provided the other hit for St. Lawrence Central.
