MEN'S COLLEGE LACROSSE

CLARKSON 13, POTSDAM 8

 A strong second half start helps the Golden Knights to a non-league win over Potsdam.

An even first half resulted in a Bear's 6-5 halftime lead as the Potsdam went on a three goal run to go up 5-4 in the second quarter.  Rob Kunz scored two straight and then with 18 seconds to go Jared Flath converted after a forced turnover to give the Bears a one goal lead.

Clarkson clamped down on defense and out scored Potsdam 5-1 in the third as five different players scored including Eric Gollands who put the Knights in the lead for good with 3:21 to go in the quarter. 

The Golden Knights pulled away in the second half with an 8-2 run as Bryan Huff scored four goals, Matt McCabe added three goals and an assist.  Eric Gollands aded two tallies and Corey Harrington one goal and four helpers.  Ryan Cole halted nine shots in the win between the pipes. 

Rob Kunz scored four goals for Potsdam and Pat Morrill added two.  Brian Quinlan stopped seven in the effort.
