INPUT TAKEN ON POTSDAM REVITALIZATION PLAN--The committee preparing a Downtown and Waterfront Revitalization plan for the Village held an information and input session on its draft document Tuesday. The plan focuses on the Village's Racquette River asset as the basis for a number of improvements designed to attact tourism and improve quality-of-life for area residents. A proposed outdoor ice skating rink adjacent to the proposed Farmer's Market-Ives Park Pavilion drew fire from a Hamilton Street resident whose property is adjacent to the site, saying the "screaming and shrieking of children" would be a major disruption, and the fact Hamilton Street is narrow with no street parking is a major safety concern.
