POTSDAM COMPREHENSIVE PLAN COMMITTEE KEEPS RECOMMENDATION ON EMPLOYER-ASSISTED HOUSING--The Committee agreed Thursday large employers like the universities and Canton-Potsdam Hospital should help workers find ways to obtain housing in the Village.  CPH has done this with great success by owning many residential properties in its neighborhood.  Committee Member Kaen Collins says employers don't need to help so much with housing costs, it's the taxes that many seeking to move into the village find intolerable.  Mayor Steve Yurgartis says, agreeing with Collins that in addition, his opinion is the taxes are a premium for the quality of services residents receive.   The committee is working on the cornerstone land use and quality-of-life document that will guide the village for the next decade.
