Lyon Hat Trick Helps Larries To High School Girls Hockey Final |

In their first ever home playoff game, the Larries come up big in advancing to the sectional title game over the Golden Bears.
Special teams played a key role as PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Grace Lyon would score two short handed goals in the same penalty kill at 5;09 and 5:32 of the first period. Lyon also helped out on the third goal of the period assisting on Darby Eldridge's marker at 7;25.
Canton scored early on in the second when Natalie Giglio scored form the left wing, but the Larries grabbed their three goal lead back when Lydia Cosgrove scored on a short range back hand just 38 seconds later. Lyon completed her hat trick with a face-off win and scored at 8:29 of the second to build her team's lead to 5-1.
Jordyn Clothier scored on a breakaway and Cosgrove put home her second before Giglio scored her second to make it a 7-2 SLC lead. Clothier finished off the scoring tallying the third short handed goal of the game for the Larries.
Stephanie Peets stopped 27 in the win for St. Lawrence Central. Blake Orosz managed 18 saves for the Golden Bears.
