POSSESSION OF A METAL KNUCKLE-KNIFE SENDS AKWESASNE MAN TO JAIL--State Police in Massena went to the Port of Entry to arrest 30-year-old Curtis Mitchell on a felony count of weapon possession, after Customs found him with the knuckle-knife, allegedly in a secondary inspection Saturday night. Mitchell has a previous conviction that precludes him from possessing the weapon. Mitchell was arraigned and jailed on 10-thousand-dollars cash bail or 20-thousand-dollars bail bond.
FORMER MASSENA MAN WITH A LONG RAP SHEET ARRESTED IN VILLAGE ON DWI AND OTHER COUNTS--Matthew Buckshot of Cornwall Island, Ontario; with several previous arrests on felony and misdemeanor counts in Massena related to domestic violence in past years, was picked up early Sunday after a pullover on Center Street Extension. He was charged with DWI and four other counts. Buckshot was released to appear January 31st.
HELENA MAN ARRESTED ON FELONY CHARGE ALLEGING DEBIT CARD THEFT--Troopers in Massena say 21-year-old Lucas Johnson allegedly swiped the card and withdrew about 100 dollars from a family member's account. Johnson was charged with felony stolen property possession and misdemeanor petit larceny, then released to appear in court at a later date.
