VILLAGE OF POTSDAM NEEDS STRONGER LOBBYING PRESENCE IN ALBANY—That determination was made last night, as the Potsdam Village Comprehensive Plan Committee started its line-by-line walk-through of the current document to see what will stay for the 2012 document, and what might need to change or be removed. Committee members agreed Village leaders and those from other nearby communities should meet regularly and develop an agenda of local issues to take to the Senate and Assembly. Mayor and Chairman Steve Yurgartis says unfunded mandates should be at the top of the list.
