POTSDAM SCHOOL DISTRICT WORKING TO COMPLY WITH STATE EDUCATION MANDATES ON 'CONSULTANT TEACHING' IN SPECIAL EDUCATION--Superintendent Pat Brady told the Board of Education last week the same audit that found non-compliance with special ed student evaluation forms, also revealed there needed to be more involvement by special ed teachers for students in grades 5-12, to allow them to work in traditional classrooms through the use of a co-teaching model. This, Brady says results in a 'full continuum' of educational opportunities. Brady says the mandate is being implemented successfully.
