WELL-KNOWN VIETNAM VETERANS SAY TIME HAS BEEN KIND TO THE EXPERIENCE—John Lancaster of Potsdam, a prominent civil rights attorney who helped draft the Americans With Disabilities Act and a disabled Vietnam Veteran, and US Vets head Steven Peck told 99 News when they were interviewed earlier this year for Clarkson University Convocation that more Americans now “get it” when it comes to Vietnam, that the shame many Vietnam soldiers felt when they first came home has eased, and they are now able to talk about that time with pride.
