POTSDAM TRUSTEES AGREE TO DISCUSS APARTMENT COMPLEX PROPOSAL WITH TOWN, DEVELOPER--The Board told Deputy Supervisor Harold Demick Monday it would sit down to discuss a proposed 144-unit housing development just north of the Price Chopper Plaza on Route 56. The proposed development would lie partially in the Town and Village, have a pool and club house. The parcel is within 500 feet of existing water and sewer lines. Village law does not allow extension without annexation; it made that provision as a wedge to exert control over projects. Demick says the developer wants shovels in the ground next year.
