FAMILY COURT JUDGE CANDIDATE SAYS JUDICIAL PAY RAISE PROPOSAL IS FAIR--Cecily Morris told 99 News Wednesday at a St.Lawrence County Conservative Party fund-raiser that a recommendation from a state commission to increase the pay for state judges 27 percent over three years is fiscally-responsible, given the fact the judges have not had a raise in 12 years. Morris says she is not running because of the pay. Morris is the candidate endorsed by the county Conservative Committee (also by the Democrats); however she faces a Conservative primary next month against Republican-Independence candidate Andrew Moses who got enough signatures to fight her for the line. A county judge candidate does not need authorization to pass petititons for a third-party bid.
