CUOMO: "NOPLACE HAS ANYTHING OVER THE STATE OF NEW YORK.."--That's what Governor Andrew Cuomo said last week before an audience of hundreds at SUNY Potsdam. He told the crowd as he unveiled his North Country Economic Development Initiative "The concept that anyone would leave New York State to go anywhere else is a bizarre and foreign concept to me," because New York "has it all". High taxes, an unfriendly business and job climate, and the overall economy are seen as factors in a mass migration out of the state despite an overall population increase caused by immigration--that Cuomo is trying to relieve through a tax cap and other initiatives. Cuomo says the North Country in particular has assets "second to none," to include its natural beauty "unlike anything on the globe".
