The Sandstoners run to a Final Four birth fell short with a loss for the second consecutive time to Saratoga Catholic.
Potsdam threatend in the bottom of the first as Trevor Keleher drove a single to left potentially scoring John Coleman from second but he was pegged out at home on a great throw by John Natale to end the inning.
Potsdam did manage the first run of the game as Ben Miller singled and came around to score on a PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Todd Sharlow single in the bottom of the second.
The Saints responded with two runs in the top of the third as Natale singled in the tying run and a Brad Scammell sacrifice fly to center scored the eventual go ahead run.
Saratoga Catholic added a run in the fourth on a passed ball and Chris Pescetti douled in one more in the fifth as Billy McDonough struck out five and no one in the victory.
For Potsdam, SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME John Coleman came on in relief of starter Ben Miller going 3.2 inings allowing no runs on one hit, striking out three and walking two.
