99 NEWS FOR SATURDAY, 6/4/11

FORMER ST.LAWRENCE COUNTY LEGISLATOR GROW REMEMBERED AS A 'SUPER, SUPER GUY'--Thomas Grow, who represented the Massena-Brasher-Helena area on the county board from 1999 to 2010 and was Vice-Chair in both 2005 and 2006, passed away earlier this week at the age of 80. Former Ogdensburg area legislator Thomas Nichols, under whose Chairmanship Grow served both of those years, told 99 News Friday Grow was "...a man of few words, but when he spoke people listened...".and "...an old-school politician who didn't care what party you were, he treated people the same..." Funeral Services will be held for Grow today in Massena. Grow is known for being one of the first legislators to support both a county-wide motorized recreation trail, and the county prescription discount card that has saved people millions of dollars.
