BLACK ICE CAUSES NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS--The slippery pavement conditions caused by road grime rising to the surface in fog has caused numerous motor vehicle crashes. We have heard Advanced Life Support was called to a serious crash on Route 11B in West Stockholm during the 7 o'clock hour this morning. Drive with utmost caution today.

EARTHQUAKE WITH 3.7 MAGNITUDE SHAKES NORTH COUNTRY--SUNY Potsdam Professor Emeritus Dr. Frank Revetta told us the quake epicentered near the Ontario-Quebec border at 1:37pm yesterday was a 'micro-quake,' not enough to cause serious damage. The Western Quebec Seismic Zone is a frequent center for quakes.

Memorial Services for Dorothy J. Gordanier of Potsdam, who passed away at the age of 100, will be held 11am Saturday at Potsdam First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam.
